NCERT Class X Chapter 5: Arithmetic Progression Exercise 5.1 Question 2 (i)
Question:
Write first four terms of the AP, when the first term a and the common difference d are given as follows: a = 10,d = 10.
Given:
First term (a) = 10
Common difference (d) = 10
To Find:
First four terms of the AP
Formula:
nth term of an AP = a + (n-1)d
Solution:
First term (a1) = a = 10
Second term (a2) = a + d = 10 + 10 = 20
Third term (a3) = a + 2d = 10 + 2(10) = 30
Fourth term (a4) = a + 3d = 10 + 3(10) = 40
Result:
The first four terms of the AP are 10, 20, 30, 40.
